The California Air Resources Board has postponed the hearing to consider the proposed amendments to the Tractor-Trailer (aerodynamics) Greenhouse Gas Regulation, Truck and Bus (engine) Regulation, and Drayage Truck (engine) Regulation until November 2010.

While the hearing was slated for September, industry stakeholders asked for additional time to review and comment on details of the planned emissions inventory updates for trucks and off-road vehicles; emissions impact of proposed amendments; specific draft regulatory language; CARB's revised PM2.5 mortality report, a draft of which will be released later this summer; and proposed changes to the drayage truck regulation.

CARB has also added workshops to discuss these proposed amendments. At this round of workshops, staff will provide finalized emissions inventories underlying the off-road regulation and the truck and bus regulation, as well as additional details and modifications to the proposed amendments to both regulations, including the drayage truck regulation.

While previous workshops discussed the GHG regulation, modifications to this regulation will not be discussed at upcoming workshops, CARB said.
