The aerodynamic design of the Kenworth T700, which joins the Kenworth T660 as SmartWay certified, integrates the hood, bumper, fenders, headlamps, fairings, windshield and roof in a precise, clean manner for the resulting fuel-efficient and stylish shape.

The EPA SmartWay Transport Partnership is an innovative collaboration between the EPA and freight industry designed to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions. To earn EPA SmartWay certification, trucks must offer a full aerodynamic package, including integrated roof fairings, fuel tank side fairings, tractor-mounted gap reducers, aerodynamic bumpers and aerodynamic mirrors, low rolling resistance tires, and idle reduction technology readiness.
