The new certification process is meant to differentiate between tire pressure monitoring systems that alert only the driver of a tire problem and those solutions that also deliver tire information to other departments within a fleet.

* Transmit the tire information off the vehicle wirelessly without driver or service technician interaction

* Store all vehicle tire performance information for analysis

* Retrieve actionable tire information at any time using any Internet enabled device (i.e. computer, laptop, netbook, cell phone, etc.)

* Provide Cold Inflation Pressure (CIP) for any tire at any time

* Analyze tire data across the whole fleet, on a group of vehicles, on a specific vehicle or an individual tire at any time

* Have whomever requires tire visibility alerted to a tire problem

* Allow the fleet to set tire thresholds for underinflation, overinflation, overheating and rapid air loss situations by tire position as well as by axle and vehicle type

* Generate visibility reports for fleet management and actionable reports for service personnel at user definable dates and times

* Service personnel to view specific vehicle tire information prior to and during servicing

* Guide service personnel through tire service processes using actionable tire instructions

* Maintain tire service records for tire service accountability
