Spatco DEF will manufacture and distribute its diesel exhaust fluid Dispensing Systems to over 800 Daimler Trucks North America dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada, thanks to a strategic partnership with DTNA.

Spatco's DEF Dispensing Systems allows customers to dispense DEF into their diesel vehicles to meet the EPA's emissions standards. The EPA has mandated that diesel vehicles manufactured after January 1, 2010 be equipped with technology to reduce NOx emissions.

Many manufacturers, including Daimler, have chosen to meet the standards using selective catalytic reduction, which requires the use of DEF in the exhaust. By injecting DEF, harmful NOx emissions are reduced to almost zero, and fuel economy is improved by between 5-9 percent, Spatco says.

"We look forward to providing quality DEF Dispensing Systems to their truck customers, and providing unsurpassed service through our nationwide distributor network," said Matt Jenkins, vice president of sales.
