The Utah Department of Transportation has planned overnight closures on sections of Interstate 80 in Salt Lake and Summit Counties on various dates from late September to mid-October
, according to the Americana Trucking Associations' Truckline newsletter. The closures are required as the state replaces two bridges.

There will be extensive delays on I-80 at the Echo exit just east of the I-84 interchange and west of Evanston, Wyo., which will involve 16-hour overnight directional closures on September 28 and October 4.

The Utah DOT encourages motorists to expect delays of up to four hours and for truckers to use alternate routes. However, detouring through Coalville, Utah, is not encouraged because of heavy construction on Main Street.

Truckers can stay informed on closures by watching for updates on overhead freeway signs and visiting www.ITRUCK.Utah.gov.
