Midwest Coast Transport, a Florida-based truckload carrier, has formed a strategic alliance with Willis Shaw Express, a truckload carrier based in Arizona
. Both companies are owned by Comcar Industries. As part of the alliance, Matt Staniszewski, president of MCT, will also serve as president of WSE.

"The result of this alliance will be a stronger and more efficient operation that will be best able to compete in the temperature controlled segment of the transportation industry," said Mark Bostick, president and CEO of Comcar. "By strategically sharing certain services and assets, we will be better positioned to meet our customers' needs."

Staniszewski has been with Comcar for 15 years, leading WSE before being appointed president of MCT in 2004.

Dan Denhof will oversee the sales and marketing efforts of both companies. Denhof joined WSE as vice president of sales and marketing in March of this year. Meanwhile, the logistics and brokerage efforts of the companies will be led by David Saylor. Saylor recently came on board as managing director of logistics.

"Through this alliance we will be able to offer our customers the best solutions for their shipping needs," said Bostick. "While doing so, our companies, our drivers and our independent contractor business partners will all benefit."
