TCA to Host Webcast on Legal Issues in Using Technology

The Truckload Carriers Association will host a webcast, "Technology: Don't Let It Hurt You In Court," on July 22
from noon to 1 p.m. Eastern time. The session will address the legal issues that come up for carriers in terms of the technologies they use.

The association says carriers have been facing increased lawsuits because they have not upgraded their technology yet, or as a result of the data their new tools collect. During the webcast, industry professionals will not only discuss these problems, but they will also provide best practices for keeping companies out of the courtroom.

The session will also include information on the current regulatory environment surrounding electronic on-board recorders and on the latest document retention requirement from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

The association encourages CEOs, safety directors, risk managers and general counsels to attend.
