Daimler Trucks North America has named T.J. Reed president of Daimler Trucks Remarketing, effective immediately. That role was previously held by Mary Aufdemberg, who earlier this year was named DTNA GM of product strategy and market development.

In his new role, Reed will oversee all activities for DTR, including sales, marketing, and distribution, and be responsible for leading the SelecTrucks brand of used semi-truck retailers. Reed rejoins DTNA from Meritor, where he spent the past five years progressing through various senior leadership roles, most recently serving as vice president of global business development for electrification.

During his previous tenure at DTNA, Reed oversaw both product marketing and product strategy for Freightliner and Detroit as director of product strategy and, earlier, as director of product marketing. Reed also previously held roles in strategic pricing and sales. He originally joined Daimler in 1998 as a custom application engineer for the company’s line of vocational trucks

Beyond his professional contributions to the commercial vehicle manufacturing industry, Reed has routinely mentored and coached young professionals in the industry. Additionally, both Reed and his wife actively support the Rare Kidney Foundation, which focuses on raising awareness, building community, and advocating for patients with rare genetic kidney diseases.

Reed holds an MBA from Michigan State University, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business and history from Muskingum University.
