J.J. Keller, a provider of safety and regulatory compliance solutions, announced its VideoProtects video monitoring service is available on the Geotab Marketplace.

Keller acquired VideoProtects transportation video technology early this year, expanding its video-based safety solution offerings.

VideoProtects from J.J. Keller is a software-as-a-service that connects fleets to VideoProtects on-board cameras and artificial intelligence technology that recognizes driver fatigue, tailgating, forward collision warnings, and other risky driving behaviors. Additionally, it monitors “trigger” events such as harsh braking, harsh cornering, and collisions detected by Geotab’s in-vehicle telematics platform. When risky events occur, VideoProtects alerts drivers and sends video footage combined with event data to the Geotab platform.

VideoProtects’ intuitive user interface has analytics and workflow tools that identify areas of risk for managers to coach drivers, either in person or through a smartphone app to help improve behaviors.

The Geotab Marketplace offers an extensive ecosystem of business-focused applications and add-ons.
