Roadwarrior introduced LightningVolt, a plug-and-play upgrade to traditional batteries for powering truck APUs or power inverters.

The battery upgrade is designed to power essential long-haul accessories like air conditioners, fridges, microwaves and electronics, without running the truck’s engine or a generator.

Roadwarrior developed LightningVolt to let drivers use their parked trucks without idling, which negatively impacts fuel consumption and lifespan of aftertreatment components, Roadwarrior officials said in a press release.

The 100Ah battery is long lasting and easy to install, company officials said.

LightningVolt batteries are designed in Canada and built to withstand harsh winters.
