Got Questions? Modern Telematics Best Practices

Q. Our drivers routinely cross into Canada. Does their ELD have to be certified in both the U.S. and Canada?

A. Yes, per the Canadian rules, all devices used in Canada must be third-party certified. This will require that U.S. fleets that cross into Canada have a U.S.-compliant device that’s also certified by this third party.
