As part of Driver Appreciation Week ceremonies last month, FFE Transportation Services, Dallas, celebrated at all the terminals throughout its network and honored million-mile drivers in a special ceremony.


Drivers receiving special distinction for achieving the million mile mark included: FFE owner-operators Terri Crank and Tommy Crank, American Eagle drivers James Cavezza and James Ellard, as well as FFE drivers Donald Grashot and Thomas Holibaugh.

Lester Johnston, a 42-year FFE veteran who announced his retirement, was honored along with Wendy Wilborn for achieving over 4 million accident-free miles. Wilborn, a former president and currently vice president of the FFE Trucker's Association, has been with the company since 1971.

For their achievements, FFE rewarded these individuals with a wood engraved plaque, a gold plated belt buckle with an FFE truck that depicts the number of miles and a leather jacket with a million mile symbol on the left side lapel. Owner-operators who achieved this accomplishment also received personalized mud flaps and insignia for their truck. A special portrait of each driver was also placed on the "Wall of Fame" at the FFE home terminal in Lancaster, Texas. next to other million mile award recipients.
