Trail King Industries says it’s re-entering the end-dump market with a product simply called Steel End Dump, model TKSHR32. It showed the trailer in its booth at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville.

The Steel End Dump is a project that has been in consideration over the past few years and, with the re-awakening of construction activity, the company decided to re-introduce the model, said Rick Farris, Trail King’s vice president of sales and marketing.

The TKSHR32 will haul sand, gravel, demolition materials and rock rip-rap. Its bed features abrasion-resistant steel, inverted-angle top rail, and a high-lift tail gate. Improved stability and a maximized footprint are achieved with a lower center of gravity.

A 24-inch flat-floor structural design gives the trailer the ability to haul increased payload, Farris said. It allows ease of operation, and superior loading and unloading through a dump cycle.

“Extensive research has determined that the Steel End Dump is an essential component of the materials hauling industry’s current needs,” he said. “Trail King’s new Steel End Dump will offer the market a product with a low cost of maintenance and premium resale value.”

The product is expected to go into production in the near future.
