PartsRiver, Inc. has launched a one-of-a-kind online parts marketplace called PartsRiver.com. It offers complete e-Commerce functionality for both parts buyers and sellers, working more like business-to-consumer marketing that traditional B2B marketing.

Depending on the buyer's needs, they can set up an e-buyer program that has all your buying parameters, so vendors can see and comply with the fleet's purchasing programs. Buyers can post RFQ, find local sellers, set up standing orders, set up sales tax exemptions and make arrangements with vendors for custom pricing.

It's much like the Amazon.com model in the consumer side, in that it gives you the option to buy from multiple sellers with different cross-reference numbers.

“PartsRiver is able to leverage its parts database of over 9 million parts and cross-references built over 12 years of helping major fleets and OE’s manage parts masters," says Parts River CEO, Sherif Danish. "We have developed proprietary search technology and built a very robust e-Commerce platform to offer a general marketplace as well as individual e-Stores. There is increasing demand for a comprehensive online solution and we are very pleased to release PartsRiver.com.”

Part buyers can find and buy from local suppliers or purchase parts directly from multiple sellers nationwide. PartsRiver.com manages the orders, payment processing, shipping notifications and order tracking. Sellers have multiple ways of reaching the market. They can list their company and parts in the general marketplace, have an e-Store, receive RFQ’s, and be listed as a local seller. Both buyers and sellers can manage their accounts using the marketplace portal.
