Mid-America Trucking Show, Day 3

Crowds were decent on Saturday, but not overwhelming. It was a good day for walking the show and a good opportunity to get close to the exhibitors. Photo by Jim Park

Saturday at Mid-America is usually the biggest day, but it turned out to be not quite as big as everyone expected. While the crowds were stronger than expected on Friday, numbers were down on Saturday. That was good news for show-goers, as it was actually possible to walk the aisles and get close to the trucks. Equipment Editor Jim Park spent the day wandering the show and took these photos.

Mid-America Trucking Show, Day 2

At 8:15, just as the sun was breaking over Freedom Hall on Friday morning, the temperature was a chilly 36 degrees. Photo: Jim Park

Day 2 of MATS got off to a sunny but cold start -- a pleasant change from Day 1, when rain spoiled the day for anyone outdoors. Exhibitors seemed to think the crowds on the first full day of the show were better than any in recent years.
