Heavy Duty Trucking has won another journalism award for last year's Driver Dilemma series, a regional Gold Award for Feature Series from the American Society of Business Publication Editors. in its 2016 Azbee Awards of Excellence.

The ambitious, 10-part Driver Dilemma series of articles involved dozens of interviews with fleets, drivers and experts on the driver shortage. The series examined how fleets could not only find drivers, but keep them engaged, satisfied, safe, compliant, and healthy.

The Azbees, as they are known, recognize outstanding work by business-to-business, trade, association, and professional publications. The Gold, Silver and Bronze winners of the regional-level Azbees were announced at banquets held across the United States in June. National winners will be announced at the national Azbee Awards of Excellence banquet July 21 in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The Pacific Region award went to Deborah Lockridge, Editor in Chief; David Cullen, Executive Editor; Jim Park, Equipment Editor; and Armie Bautista, Senior Art Director.

Earlier this year, the series earned a 2016 Jesse H. Neal Business Journalism award.
