A Michigan-based SAF-Holland manufacturing facility has received the Paccar 2014 50PPM Quality Award, the company announced.

The facility is located in Holland, Mich., and earned the recognition by meeting the OEM’s quality standards. The facility will also be added to Paccar’s list of premium suppliers to be displayed at Paccar locations and on the company’s website.

Over a 12-month period, Paccar monitors the quality of their suppliers' parts and components to verify that product defects are below 50 parts per million. Other factors like product innovation, production parts approval process, number of warranty cases and timely delivery are also taken into consideration for the award.

Candidates must also have quality systems in accordance with both ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 9001 in place and successfully pass Paccar performance testing.

“We continually strive and are committed to improving our quality procedures and delivery processes,” said John Wieringa, vice president of quality and environmental systems at SAF-Holland. “To have our efforts recognized by a valued customer is a great honor and a testament to the dedication of our staff and an efficient production management system.”
