Agility Now Freightliner's Sole Natural Gas Fuel System Provider
Freightliner signs exclusive deal with Agility Fuel Systems for its natural gas fuel systems. Under a seven-year agreement between the two companies, Agility will provide custom-designed products, according to the custom chassis manufacturer.

Santa Ana, Calif.-based Agility designs and produces compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel systems for heavy-duty vehicles. Freightliner has worked with Agility since 2002.
Agility recently announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Salisbury, N.C., which is in close proximity to the Freightliner manufacturing plants in Cleveland, N.C., and Mt. Holly, N.C., where the Freightliner Cascadia 113, M2 112, and 114SD natural gas trucks are produced. Expected to start production in late 2015, it is the industry’s first vertically integrated natural gas fuel system production facility, according to Freightliner.
Freightliner currently has more than 6,000 natural gas trucks on the road.
