Heniff Transportation Systems has acquired Horizon Tank Lines, expanding Heniff’s footprint into the Southeastern U.S.

Heniff is a liquid bulk carrier founded in 1998 by Robert J. Heniff. The company has operations across North America including the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

With this acquisition, Heniff will now have 13 terminals total in the U.S.

Horizon Tank Lines, a bulk chemical hauler based in Wilmington, N.C., had been privately held. Horizon’s owner, Charles Collie has been involved in chemical transportation for over 30 years.

"This is truly a fantastic opportunity to provide longevity to our drivers and employees,” said Collie.  "Bob [Heniff] and I share the same passion, one that provides security to the employees and our customers through our safe, reliable, and affordable services on a daily basis."
