Prime Inc. Orders 2,500 Reefer Trailers

Prime Inc. placed an order for 2,500 trailers to Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, the largest single order ever for Utility.

Prime ordered Utility 3000R reefer trailers from Utility Trailer Sales of the Ozarks, a trailer dealer in Springfield, Mo.

“Our focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability were the major factors in this purchase,” said Paul Higgins, director of maintenance at Prime. “Our commitment to these principles is the reason for our partnership with Utility.”

The 3000R is designed for fuel efficiency and safety with an aerodynamic side skirt, optional air disc brakes and a suspension system with increased roll stability.  Prime is a refrigerated, flatbed and tanker carrier based out of Springfield, Mo., serving North America.

Utility manufactures the 3000R reefers at its Utah and Virginia factories.
