Country recording artist and Highway Angel program spokesperson Lindsay Lawler will hit the road later this month for her second consecutive Highway Angel Truck Stop Tour — and TravelCenters of America has just announced that it has reprised its role as the host of this year's series of events.

The tour, designed to promote a better trucking-industry image by increasing the exposure of the Truckload Carriers Association's Highway Angel program to the public, will kick off at the Knoxville West TA location on May 21 at 9 a.m.

The tour will span five months, wrapping up in late September, and will also include performances in Nevada, Alabama, Virginia, New York, and Minnesota.

The tour is sponsored by TA/Petro, Schneider, and Wholesale Truck & Finance. Each stop will feature an hour-long acoustic performance by Highway Angel spokesperson Lindsay Lawler from atop her flatbed truck stage (provided by Fikes Truck Line), as well as a live broadcast radio component. All of the stops are posted on the tour's official Web site, www.truckstoptour.com, and are subject to change.
