Two trucking companies have teamed up and will soon offer a coast-to-coast less-than-truckload network.

Ward Transport and Logistics, Altoona, Penn., and Dependable Highway Express, a division of The Dependable Companies, Los Angeles, Calif., will begin offering the service staring August 1.

It will link California, Nevada and Arizona with Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and New York.

In a joint statement both companies said “this venture which will provide a strategic alignment of their companies in response to their customers’ request to expand their portfolio of solutions.”

Ward’s current footprint covers the Northeast, Southeast and Middle Atlantic parts of the country. Both also offer asset-based warehousing, drayage/intermodal service, domestic and international freight forwarding services.
