Improved efficiencies in tanker fleet operations is one of the benefits of PeopleNet’s new integration with the Titan Logix Corp.’s TD80 mobile liquid-level gauging system, the companies announced at the National Tank Truck Carriers Annual Conference in Las Vegas April 28.

The integration will provide tanker fleets with an expanding set of data to automate end-to-end fuel management workflow, PeopleNet said.

Initially, the data from the Titan Logix system available through PeopleNet will include the time that loading begins and ends, level information from single or both compartments, alarm information from both compartments, the time the system was acknowledged or bypassed and error events.

That data could be expanded to include offset calibration adjustment made by the driver, notification of fill or fall alarm level changes, notification a connected horn had been bypassed, log of hardware configuration setting changes and a log of relay programming settings changes.

According to PeopleNet, as the integration progresses, liquid-level readings from the Titan Logix in-cab display will be transmitted to a fleet’s back office system via PeopleNet’s onboard computer. This function will provide tank levels to fleet dispatchers and managers and can be used in historical trend analysis.

In a press release, Titan Logix said the partnership fits with their objective of making in-the-office fluid management technologies available to their customers.
