The fleet management services company ARI has acquired Drivefleet, an online driver training products and services provider.

Drivefleet offers catalogue of web-based driver training courses that engages users in an interactive, two-way dialogue to promote knowledge retention and encourage more thoughtful, proactive drivers, according to ARI

The modules “are convenient and easy to access, as well as intuitive to use, and offer users the opportunity to apply the lessons learned to ‘real world’ driving situations,” ARI said in a release.

Courses range from defensive driving practices and preventing distracted driving to eco-driving techniques, and are available for every kind of fleet, from cars and vans to light and medium duty trucks.

With this acquisition, Drivefleet’s online courses will be integrated with ARI’s systems to provide clients with a seamless safety solution.

“Fleets will be able to leverage this new portfolio to their advantage and will have the capability to provide a wider range of training options to their drivers,” the company said. “Additionally, as part of ARI, the Drivefleet team will be able to leverage the investments in technology the company has made in recent years, as well as the expertise and knowledge of ARI’s own safety team, to rapidly develop new offerings that are responsive to client and marketplace needs.”
