Andrews Logistics, an asset-based transportation and logistics company specializing in bulk liquid and hazardous materials transport, has acquired Andrews Transport LP, a bulk liquid petroleum and chemical products transportation provider based in Fort Worth, Texas.

As a result of the acquisition, Andrews Logistics will add approximately 115 employees in Texas and Louisiana, as well as a roster of petrochemical customers.

Andrews Transport was formed in 1980 and is owned by Bill and Gary Andrews. Andrews Logistics was established in 1997 and is owned by J. Darron Eschle and Brian Jarvis. The companies serve the same industries and markets and share a similar focus on safety and service.

Andrews Transport was recognized by the National Tank Truck Carriers for having an outstanding safety record and has received numerous awards of recognition from the states where it operates.

All corporate office functions will be consolidated into Andrews Logistics' Southlake, Texas, headquarters. The acquisition expands Andrews Logistics' terminals in Texas with the addition of facilities in Diboll, Tyler and Beaumont. Some Andrews Transport terminals will be combined with nearby Andrews Logistics facilities. This includes Andrews Transport's Houston terminal and Andrews Logistics' terminal in Deer Park, Texas. The Fort Worth, Texas, Andrews Transport terminal will be combined with Andrews Logistics' Dallas location. The terminals each company operates in Baton Rouge, Louisiana will also be combined.
