FTR Associates' 2013 Transportation Conference, "Insights for Uncertain Times," will be held Sept. 24-26 at the Historic Union Station in Indianapolis.

More than 40 industry speakers and panelists will provide insight on the economy and all modes of freight transportation at the annual event hosted by the freight analysis and forecasting firm.

The conference will kick off with an economic outlook from Bill Strauss, senior economist and economic adviser from the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. He will cover the essentials of the current economic outlook and forecast, as well as ongoing discussions at the Fed that may influence the lagging recovery.

FTR's Noël Perry will follow that up with a transportation overview, before the conference splits into separate tracks, with topics such a truck freight outlook and a session on nearshoring's impact on transportation.

New this year is a roundtable lunch with FTR experts to conclude the event.
