While gasoline prices continued to decline this week, diesel prices continued on its journey upward.

The U.S. Energy Information Adminsitration's Gas and Diesel Fuel Update reports that the average price for a gallon of diesel went up 1.2 cents this past week to sit at $3.92.

The biggest jump was seen in the Rocky Mountain region with an increase of 4.4 cents per gallon, and the smallest increase was seen in the Lower Atlantic with a slight uptick of 0.4 cents.

Gasoline saw a decrease this week by 3.6 cents per gallon on average across the nation to $3.65. The Midwest experienced the largest drop is price at 8.5 cents per gallon to settle at $3.58.
