NexTraq has announced that it will support the Garmin fleet 590 navigation device.
The Garmin fleet 590 can help reduce driver interaction by displaying driving-related information at a glance on its large 5-inch display. It provides a fleet-friendly design that easily transfers from vehicle to vehicle.
From the driver to the dispatcher, this solution provides alert management, asset tracking, engine status and driver behavior status. In addition, The NexTraq Fleet Dispatch and Job Schedule Board solutions enables dispatcher to easily schedule jobs with drag-and-drop functionality and to dispatch jobs immediately to the Garmin device or defer them for later scheduling.
With this new functionality, service and distribution companies will be able to improve customer service with more accurate ETAs, receive instant notification of driver and vehicle behavior and increase their productivity by getting more jobs done in less time.
“As the first GPS fleet tracking company to integrate dispatching functionality with a tracking solution, this next progression in technology is a natural fit for us," says Mike Scarbrough, CEO of NexTraq. "The Garmin fleet 590 is a superior device that will complement the advances we have made to ensure we are the most comprehensive solution in the market.”
“The Garmin fleet 590 is our first portable telematics navigation device designed specifically with the fleet owner in mind,”said Chad Sallman, Business Development Manager for commercial solutions at Garmin. “We’re pleased to partner with NexTraq to integrate this device into their leading platform and offer fleet owners a comprehensive solution that is easy to install and can be transferred from vehicle to vehicle.”
