A provider of in-cab heating, cooling, entertainment and other services for truckers while they are parked without them having to idle, IdleAir, has announced new prices that will begin on June 3 and are frozen through at least the end of the year.
IdleAir Premium Service will be $2.19 per hour, plus tax for the first 10 hours, up from $2.09 per hour. After the first 10 hours of a continuous visit, the Extended Stay discount automatically reduces Premium Service to $1.69 per hour, plus tax. ConvoyTV+Power, introduced in January and available at select locations, remains at $1.49 per hour, plus tax.
In Ripon, Calif., where it says utility costs are especially high, IdleAir Premium Service will be $2.29 per hour, plus tax for the first 10 hours. After the first 10 hours of a continuous visit, the Extended Stay discount automatically reduces Premium Service to $1.89 per hour, plus tax.
IdleAir says over the past year it held prices flat while its own costs, especially utility costs, have increased. Owner-operators and leased-operators who access IdleAir through their company’s approved fuel card should contact IdleAir Customer Support to get their new discounted rates. It says with the introduction of the Convoy Points rewards program, customers can save up to 12% off retail prices.
IdleAir, which has 33 locations in 12 states, continues expansion plans this summer with new travel center locations opening in Texas, California, and Ohio. In addition, IdleAir is expanding dedicated terminal solutions for fleet customers and its next facility is now under construction at a customer terminal in Mesquite, Texas.
