Bernhard to Head Daimler Trucks, Renschler Moves to Mercedes Benz Cars, Vans
Daimler AG's Supervisory Board voted unanimously to extend the contract of Dieter Zetsche as chairman of the board of management of Daimler AG and as head of Mercedes-Benz Cars.
Daimler AG's Supervisory Board voted to name Wolfgang Bernhard the new head of Daimler Trucks. Bernhard will be replacing Andreas Renschler, who will assume Board of Management responsibility for production and purchasing of Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars & Mercedes-Benz Vans.
Renschler has served as head of Daimler Trucks since 2004, and Bernhard has been the head of operations with Mercedes-Benz Cars since 2010.
Daimler AG's Supervisory Board voted unanimously to extend the contract of Dieter Zetsche as chairman of the board of management of Daimler AG and as head of Mercedes-Benz Cars.
His contract, which would have expired at the end of 2013, will be extended through Dec. 31, 2016.
