Lockridge Report Comes to End on Sirius XM; Host to Write for HDT

After nearly five years of hosting "The Lockridge Report" on Sirius XM's Road Dog Trucking channel, Evan Lockridge has left the show to pursue a wider range of journalism activities, including writing and photography for Heavy Duty Trucking and

Lockridge has been a contributing editor for HDT and Truckinginfo for some time, contributing primarily behind the scenes with news leads. He will contribute news, photos, features and other content for the magazine and website.

In addition to "The Lockridge Report," Lockridge wrote and produced hourly trucking news updates for Sirius XM. He will continue to do so on a fill-in basis, and may also be called upon as a guest host for live programming.

Previously, he was the host of the syndicated daily news show "RoadStar Radio News" between 1998 and 2002, produced by Newport Communications, then-owners of HDT, in conjunction with the driver/owner-operator magazine RoadStar. He has extensive broadcast experience in radio and television, getting his start in trucking journalism in 1991 with another syndicated trucking radio news program.

Replacing Lockridge in the 2 p.m. eastern time slot on Sirius XM's Road Dog Trucking channel will be Mark Willis, hosting the new show, "Road Dog Trucking News Live." Willis previously was host of then Sirius Satellite Radio's morning trucking show, "The Open Road Cafe" and "The Loading Dock," between 2002 and 2010.

    Where would i go to make a comment to DOT on these OBR. I have been out here 20 years an I will be giving up long haul truck driving when they put OBR on my truck or at least drive local. They are running all the old drivers off they have no ideal what its like out here (east coast its not truck friendly. I was just at PGW Tyrone in pa they have signs up all over the place for no idle I never turn my truck off an I didn't an I want if I'm hot or cold. Also they would not let me park on their property last night that needs to be changed. Also the company went off on a driver he would not move at first but I guess the company scared him so he left in valuation. He would not move because he was out of hours. The company told him they didn't care what he did an they didn't care about him being out of hours but he could drive off or they would call the cops an they would take him to jail an have his trucK toed. An the guy that was telling the driver all this was holling at the driver an cussing the driver. Ill have to give trucking up I'm from old school I would have went off an been locked up. Been out here 20 years never had a Accident the DOT is running old timers off. Sorry if my email is messed up phone is acting up. Thanks

    It's Everyman for himself. It's all about me. If a driver goes up the right and we are all In line. We get mad cuz he ain't actin like us.

    So no we won't stick together. If we were to stick together there be no more holdin up the fuel line. Stinkin up the crapper. No more tea bottles on the off ramps and no more takin my Parkin spot.

    When driver unite. Truck stops are cleaner. Fuel cost go down. Truckstop buffets are more inviting. When we unite lot lizards are clean and shaven at every encounter HELL WHEN TRUCKERS UNITE they give fresh sheets to the t/s hoes and when we unite we run scales and leave our log sheets at th chicken house when nobodies a look in
