The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association and MacKay & Co. have announced the title and description of the presentation to be given by Stuart MacKay, president of MacKay & CO. as part of the First Annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue conference.
The conference will be held Jan. 21 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nev. immediately preceding Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week 2013.

MacKay's presentation entitled, Heavy Duty Aftermarket Outlook: Opportunities and Challenges, will be a wrap-up session, tying together the focal points of each segment from the day-long conference in an effort to better portray the overall climate of the heavy duty aftermarket in the coming years.

MacKay's session on the heavy aftermarket will focus primarily on recapping the conclusions from the three preceding panel discussions, and the probable impact on the aftermarket. He will also spend some time reviewing how the size and structure of the heavy duty aftermarket has changed over the past decade. Additionally, he will outline the MacKay & Co. perspective of where the heavy duty aftermarket will continue to change, the factors anticipated to drive these changes and the implications they may have for fleets, distributors and suppliers.

MacKay is president of MacKay & Co., a specialized market research and consulting firm established by him in 1968. MacKay & Co. concentrates the majority of its research and consulting activity in the truck, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, engine and parts and service distribution businesses.

He has served on the staffs of Cummins Engine, its division Fleetguard, and Red Star Express Lines.

The day-long conference will also feature heavy-duty distribution and supplier discussion panels as well as a panel from the perspective of fleet owners, scheduled between two expert presentations; Factors Affecting the North American Economic Outlook to be presented by Dr. Bob Dieli of RDLB, Inc., followed by the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Outlook: Opportunities and Challenges, presented by Stu MacKay of MacKay & Co.

The conference will include breakfast, two breaks and a luncheon, each intended to facilitate networking with industry peers, as well as conference books containing presentation materials.
