Dr. Bob Dieli of RDLB Inc. will give aftermarket attendees an economic outlook for 2013 when he speaks Jan. 21 at the first Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue conference.


The conference will be held Jan. 21 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nev. immediately preceding Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week 2013.

Dieli's presentation, entitled "Factors Affecting the North American Economic Outlook," will cover an array of topics affecting the economic outlook for 2013. The goal of the presentation is to provide a backdrop for the panel discussions that will follow and a set of tools the audience can use to navigate their firms through a challenging business environment.

Dieli will cover such items as the level and trend in employment, the level and trend of trucking activity, and the level and trend of truck utilization as they relate to the current and future heavy duty aftermarket.

Dieli is president and founder of RDLB, Inc. an economic research and management consulting firm based in Lombard, Ill. RDLB, Inc.'s client list includes firms in the manufacturing, transportation, and management consulting areas of the economy, as well as firms in the financial services sector.

Dieli began his professional career in the Economic Research Division of the Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, Illinois. He later moved to The Northern Trust Company of Chicago, initially in the Economic Research Department and later as vice president and portfolio manager in the Trust Department.

The day-long conference will also feature a heavy duty distribution discussion panel, a supplier executive panel as well as a panel from the perspective of fleet owners, scheduled between two expert presentations; the North American Economic Outlook to be presented by Dr. Bob Dieli of RDLB, Inc., followed by the Heavy Duty Industry Forecast presented by Stu MacKay of MacKay & Co.
