The editors of Heavy Duty Trucking magazine won two regional and one national award in the American Society of Business Publication Editors' annual Azbee Awards of Excellence.


In the National competition, HDT editors took home a Bronze award in the Feature Series category (Revenue over $2 million) for "The Coming Driver Shortage," which ran in February, March, July and September 2011. The winning editors were Equipment Editor Jim Park, Editor in Chief Deborah Lockridge and Washington Editor Oliver B. Patton.

Lockridge also won two awards in the Midwest/South Region:
* A silver award in the Editorial/Editor's Letter category for HDT Editorials, April 2011 and June 2011
* A silver award in the How-to Article category for "9 Ways to Keep Cargo Safe & Secure," July 2011

All awards were in the Revenue over $2 million classification.

Earlier this year, HDT won a Jesse H. Neal award from the American Business Media for Best Instructional Content for the July 2011 article, "9 Ways to Keep Cargo Safe & Secure."
