As a result of ongoing growth, Bergstrom named Alan Leupold director of test and development.
Leupold brings to Bergstrom several decades of experience in commercial vehicle HVAC system design and testing. Prior to joining Bergstrom, he spent 39 years with CNH, Case, and International Harvester, producer of agricultural and construction equipment.
In his new role, Leupold will be responsible for leading Bergstrom's test and development lab facilities, equipment, and personnel as the company expands its internal capabilities in product validation and analysis in support of our global OEM customers.
As part of Bergstrom's test and development team, he will continue his work on HVAC analyses and service techniques, which has led to several awards, including the Pioneer Award from the Mobile Air Conditioning Society. Bergstrom also expects him to continue to develop innovative ideas as evidenced by his 10 HVAC-related patents and additional four in process.
Leupold has a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Valparaiso University in Indiana.
