A. Duie Pyle, a Northeast transportation and logistics provider, has appointed Dan Carrano as director of fleet maintenance at the company's headquarters in West Chester, Pa.


In his new role, Carrano is responsible for specifying and negotiating the purchase of fleet equipment and leading the team of technicians who are accountable for keeping Pyle's fleet operational, safe and predictable.

He will still be responsible for assuring CSA compliance.

Pyle currently operates 12 maintenance facilities, which perform the majority of routine and preventative maintenance on a fleet of 760 power units and 1672 trailers, as well as other rolling stock required to conduct business.

Dan began his career at Pyle in May 2011 as the director of CSA compliance following 15 years of advancement in the field of vehicle maintenance. A former manager of vehicle maintenance for New England Motor Freight, Carrano's career in fleet maintenance included positions with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and New Jersey Transit, where he served as manager of quality assurance vehicle maintenance.
