Melton Logistics, Tulsa, Okla., a non-asset based third-party logistics company, will now be known as Conexus.

The company will continue to operate at its current office locations under the same leadership and all contact information will remain the same. However, the company does have a new website, conexuslogistics.com.

Established in 2003, the company's focus was on growing its flatbed and step-deck business. However, Conexus began offering warehousing, inventory and distribution services in 2010. Today, the company offers truckload, less-than-truckload, temperature-controlled, flatbed, over-dimensional, intermodal, expedited ground and air and specialized freight services as well as warehousing, inventory and distribution through its 30,000-square-foot warehouse in Laredo, Texas.

According to Kyle Gholston, vice president, the name change was a natural progression in the company's growth.

"Our new name will give us a unique identity that is truly reflective of what we do," Gholston says. "There were a number of compelling reasons for our name change, the most significant being that our name be truly reflective of the passion our people have for our mission: To work together with our customers and trusted carriers to connect our customers' business to the appropriate supply chain solutions."

The name change comes on the heels of one of the company's most profitable years ever according to Gholston. "Considering our rapid growth over the last nearly 10 years, we felt this was the best time to make the change."
