Valentine, who has been with Prime for 23 years, credits much of his accomplishment to Prime's driver training program. This ongoing program includes online training and DVD resources with driver instructional videos, safety tips and advice for running a successful business. The company also updates its drivers with the latest safety news.

"You always have to have the big picture and pay attention to the things going on around you," says Ayers, who started working for Prime in 1990. "Drive for everyone else and anticipate what they may do."

Both drivers received a check for $5,000, a 3 million mile leather jacket, a truck decal, lapel pin and a jacket patch. Ayers and Valentine also received a plaque with their name and likeness on Prime's Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mo.
