Pilot Flying J acquired a travel plaza in Alexandria, Minn., at 3181 Evergreen Lane off Interstate 94 at Exit 100. It will remain open during remodeling, which is expected to be complete in July 2012.
The 10,200-square-foot travel plaza will feature four gasoline lanes, five diesel lanes, DEF at the pump and high-speed fuel pumps.
The Alexandria location also will include a Subway restaurant; clean restrooms; fax and copy services; Western Union and check cashing; an ATM; 60 parking spaces for cars; general merchandise for professional drivers and highway travelers; a CAT scale; Transflo; six automated showers; and 80 parking spaces for trucks.
