McLeod Software and The Brimmer College of Business and Information Science at Tuskegee University are conducting a joint research project to analyze how costs and competition impact the overall pricing process for motor carriers.

The project will analyze how carriers integrate their costs (fixed, variable, and mixed) and competition into the pricing equation to create value for customers and at the same time create value and profitability for themselves.

"We are seeking companies to participate in the project," said Professor George Edwards, study investigator and longtime trucking executive. "This project will help participants better understand pricing and competition as components of profitability."

The use of technology as a service enhancement and accounting tool will also be explored.
