TravelCenters of America, owner of Petro Stopping Centers, announced a driver celebration event to celebrate the grand opening of its Petro travel center at Exit 374 off I-35 in Carl's Corner, Texas.
The festivities will take place July 19-20, and will feature a variety of activities for professional drivers and motorists.

The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Carl Cornelius, Mayor of Carl's Corner. A number of Carl's Corner City Council members will be in attendance to recognize Petro's opening in this historic location.

Highlights of the celebration include:

* WBAP Midnight Trucking Radio live broadcast with radio personality Eric Harley: night of July 18/morning of July 19, midnight to 2 a.m.
* Ribbon cutting by Mayor Cornelius: July 19, 10 a.m.
* Texas music recording artist Teri Hart: July 19 and 20, 6-9 p.m.
* Random prize drawings and driver appreciation specials throughout both days.

The Petro at Carl's Corner was previously known as "Willie's Place," as Mayor Cornelius, who owns the stop, is a long-time friend of Willie Nelson. It opened for business in late April, and is holding this event to celebrate the drivers that have made it a success.
