Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products announced several personnel changes as part of an ongoing effort to expand business both internationally and into new market segments.
Scott Kerns was named vice president and general manager, Commercial Vehicle Wheels, Europe, Japan & South Africa. In this role, he will have responsibility for all activities in the commercial transportation business in these regions and will be based in Hungary. Kerns was previously Vice President and General Manager, Alcoa Transportation Products.
Merrick Murphy was named vice president and general manager, Commercial Vehicle Wheels, America's & Pacific Rim. He will have responsibility for North and South America, Australia, New Zealand and Asia, excluding Japan. Murphy will be located in the Independence, OH office. Previously, he served as Vice President of Sales, Commercial Vehicle Wheels, Americas. A replacement for his current assignment will be named at a later date.
Victor Marquez will expand his role to vice president and general manager, Forged Specialty Wheels and Transportation Products. He will maintain his current responsibilities as Vice President and General Manager, Forged Specialty Wheels overseeing the automotive and medium duty wheel business, as well as take on the additional challenge of expanding the Transportation Products business within the Defense market.
The organizational changes are effective immediately.
