TravelCenters of America announced a new smart phone application, called TruckSmart.
The application features an interactive map of all TA and Petro locations as well as real-time information including fuel prices, estimated available parking, available showers, a list of amenities, current special offers and the weather report. The app also provides turn-by-turn directions to any location.
The application also links users with TA's RoadSquad roadside assistance program - when contacted, the app provides coordinates of the user to RoadSquad's call center for efficient dispatch.
The app is free and currently available only for the iPhone.
