Nearly 400 agents in the Atlas Van Lines family across the U.S. have joined the American Moving & Storage Association.

The agreement is the result of discussions between AMSA and Atlas management based on proposals raised within the framework of AMSA's Membership Advisory Task Force. The new arrangement will spread the benefits of AMSA membership more uniformly through Atlas as the van line grows its value proposition to its customers and its agents.

"This decision tracks with AMSA's strategic plan to both increase our membership and to better serve the entire professional moving industry," said Linda Bauer Darr, AMSA president and CEO. "I am extremely pleased and salute Atlas for its leadership, vision and support."

"Through our membership, customers get a continued peace of mind that we are committed to them. Atlas Van Lines has always provided great service to our customers, a quality strengthened by the AMSA name," said Glen Dunkerson, chairman and CEO of Atlas World Group. "It's a designation that means we continue to follow rigorous industry standards, we continue to be leaders in our industry, and we continue to provide exceptional service."
