The Fontaine Modification Company management team has made extensive improvements to the organization over the last 18 months and is now ready to introduce the "new" Fontaine.

Fontaine's new streamlined structure, state-of-the-art Innovation Center, focus on core services, and expanded network of dedicated service centers allow the company to be even more flexible and responsive to customers' changing needs.

The company has condensed its service offerings to focus on those most requested by customers. These core services include:

* All-Wheel Drive Installation, including certified installation of Marmon-Herrington all-wheel drive systems.

* Alternative Fuel Services, including certified installation of CNG and LNG engines and fuel delivery systems.

* Cab and Chassis Configuration to customize trucks for customer needs, including drop-frame and step-frame conversions.

* Certified Auxiliary Power Installations to reduce a fleet's operating costs through reductions in engine idling, fuel use and maintenance expenses, while also providing operators with better rest intervals and on-board power for appliances.

* Dual Driving Stations that enable operators to drive from either the right- or left-hand side for street sweeping, road striping and refuse collection applications.

* Fleet Services tailored for each customer to include pre-delivery inspection and in-servicing, as well as extensive road tests to ensure that trucks are delivered to fleet locations "road ready."

* Paint Services for high-volume painting of truck components and assemblies.

* Stand-Up Right Drive to improve curbside refuse collection operator efficiency.

Fontaine serves the over-the-road trucking industry, as well as the municipal, utility, military, construction, emergency services and refuse markets.

Services are delivered through a unique network of dedicated centers located next to major truck OEM manufacturing facilities across the United States. Each of the seven service
centers is staffed by a facility manager and a team of experienced technicians. All administrative personnel, sales engineers and other staff have been moved to the company's Charlotte, N.C., headquarters. Fontaine has added two service centers in the last year, one in Williamstown, W.V., and another in Laredo, Texas.

All of the company's research and development has been consolidated into a new Innovation Center at the Charlotte headquarters, as well. Previously, new post-production truck modification services, documentation and work processes were developed independently at each service center, resulting in duplicated effort and inconsistency. Now, a centralized engineering team designs every new industry offering at the Innovation Center, where the work processes are thoroughly documented to ensure consistent quality and results.
