The newly combined parts group, HDA Truck Pride, recently held its first Board of Managers meeting in St. Petersburg, Fla., where its executive committee was elected.

The committee will take the strategic lead in guiding the organization to compete with an expanded footprint, more uniform product offerings, enhanced service network, as well as valued-added programs and services.

The HDA Truck Pride management team also recently conducted a five-city regional road show across North America to listen closely to its distributor members and to assess and accelerate its strategic growth plan. The meetings were well attended and generated considerable positive feedback from which the Executive Committee plans to construct its multi-year business plan.

According to Don Reimondo, CEO of HDA TruckPride, "The ongoing consolidation in the independent marketplace dictated that we as a unit look at who our prospects and partners were going to be five to seven years down the road and the impact they will have on the marketplace. We believe there is more strength for our customers in the expanded footprint of the new organization."

HDA Truck Pride is North America's largest independent provider of parts and services to the commercial vehicle aftermarket. With over 750 distribution locations and over 400 service facilities,

Heavy Duty America and Truck Pride Partners announced the merger of their organizations into a new North American marketing and distribution organization in August 2010, and operations commenced on Sept. 1.
