Nearly six months after the Cumberland River rose 32 feet and devastated much of the Nashville area and its businesses, Xtra Lease will celebrate its recovery with a grand opening event for its new Nashville location on Oct. 27.

Like many businesses in the area, Xtra Lease experienced great losses in the early May flood. After replacing hundreds of trailers and repairing many more, the company opened its doors recently at a new location. Now, the company will celebrate with a line-up of customer educational seminars and demonstrations at the new branch.

Featured guest speakers include Rick Gobbell, former U.S. Department of Transportation inspector and currently a safety consultant, who will discuss CSA 2010 regulations along with showing what carriers can expect in a typical DOT audit. A Tennessee Highway Patrol representative will conduct a demo of a DOT inspection.

Steve Zaborowski, Xtra Lease senior vice president, will show how fleets can spec their trailer fleets for damage-resistant durability and low maintenance costs, and will discuss how new California Air Resources Board regulations affect all fleets nationwide. Craig Nolle, Xtra Lease Trailer Tracking Manager, will demonstrate how fleets can enhance trailer utilization and asset management.

The grand opening will occur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 27, at the new Xtra Lease Nashville location, 1505 Corporate Place, La Vergne, Tenn.
