The American Trucking Associations announced winners of the fourth annual Mike Russell "Good stuff" Trucking Image Award
at its annual Management Conference & Exhibition in Phoenix this week.

This year's award marks the highest participation rate yet, with more than 100 nominations.

In the Motor Carrier category, the winner is UPS. The UPS media campaign highlighted their safe professional drivers across the U.S. and not only showed that there is a face behind the wheel, but why the industry is essential.

In the Industry Supplier category, the winner is Michelin North America. Michelin's campaign focused on the industry's sustainability efforts and what the industry is doing to improve safety, as well as their support and involvement in the ATA Share the Road program.

In the State Association category, the winner is the Florida Trucking Association. The Florida Trucking Association's campaigns focused on the state legislature, professional drivers, the teen population, the state's safety record, and the future of the highway program.

"We are pleased to recognize these three industry leaders," said ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. "Their efforts in enhancing and promoting the positive image of the trucking industry are significant."

The Mike Russell Image Award, sponsored by Qualcomm Inc., honors those that creatively generate positive awareness of the trucking industry.

The award is named in honor of the late Mike Russell, a trucking industry supporter and media official who helped develop the "Good stuff. Trucks Bring It." campaign as vice president of Public Affairs for the American Trucking Associations.

"Good stuff. Trucks Bring It." is an industry-wide campaign aimed at improving the image of trucking. By emphasizing the relevance of trucking to all aspects of American society, the image campaign presents the public with a positive, modern image of the professional driver and industry.
