Dupre' Logistics Energy Distribution Services group announced a 3 to 6 percent pay increase for its professional drivers.

This driver pay increase is part of a larger Dupre' strategy to build the "Ideal Place to Work."

"This raise was something we did not expect to happen with the way the economy is," said Marcus Moore, a 10-year veteran at Dupre' Logistics' Shreveport terminal. "To do this for the
drivers truly shows how much Dupre' treasures its employees."

Dupre' pays its drivers by the hour. The wage increase is a response to the ever-increasing responsibilities associated with the job. Hourly pay positively affects drivers safety and pays drivers for all of the time they work, unlike mileage or percentage of load pay, while also allowing for safe driver capacity that provides a great total value to clients.

"The decision to enact this pay increase made sense," said Director of Operations, Energy Distribution Services Jim Butler. "We value our team highly and feel this pay increase will help us retain current team members and attract new drivers."

Dupre' has more than 1,000 employees and is headquartered in Lafayette, La.
