Hyundai Translead, which manufactures dry van trailers, refrigerated trailers, container chassis and converter dollies, has chosen Ridge Corporation's Green Wing aerodynamic side fairing components as its preferred aerodynamic component supplier.
According to Hyundai Translead, the side fairings can save up to 5.2 percent in fuel, J1321 tract testing showed. This meets EPA SmartWay requirements.
Hyundai Translead chose to partner with Ridge Corp. to offer customers high performance thermo plastic composite side fairings that are engineered to produce predictable deflection modes that provide stiffness and reduce failure in bending. The Green Wing is also UV-protected, weighs less than 200 pounds, dent-proof, and warranted against corrosion.
